Team Champ

Building community at Champ, a sexual wellness company revolutionizing men’s sexual health as part of their overall health.

Refining the mission

When I first joined the team at Champ, their primary selling point was discrete delivery. Their objective: to take the unpleasant drugstore experience out of the picture. Upon joining the team, I immediately identified that as we emerged from COVID, the appeal of mail-order and discrete delivery wasn’t going to suffice to build a community or interest, especially for the Gen-Z college demographic.

The first thing I did was rewrite the website and mission statement to reposition the brand as an extension of overall health and wellness. It was critical to me to also emphasize education at this point — as so few young people in America, men especially, get access to the sexual health education they need to stay safe and healthy. In my time at Champ, I’ve facilitated partnerships with GMHC, the Ali Forney Center, and 30+ colleges and universities across the nation to get products and education into the hands of people that need them.

Today, Champ’s mission is this:

The Bottom Line:

  • Sexual health is a key component of every player’s care — modern gentlemen included.

  • At Champ, we believe that sexual health is just that — a key pillar of health.

  • No matter how you play, or who you play with, Champ’s got you covered.

About Us:

Sifting through neon boxes of condoms at the drugstore isn’t only uncomfortable, it’s unsexy, and it certainly doesn’t feel like a self-care routine. That’s why we wanted to create a brand that treats men’s sexual wellness for what it is — an extension of men’s care and confidence.

Who are we? We’re just some guys who, like you, felt that many of the resources and sexual products out there for men were awkward, embarrassing, and unreliable. So, we created Champ, a sexual wellness brand for the modern gentlemen, so that you can reach for products and educational resources that you can be confident in, no matter how you do it.

It’s our mission to champion health and wellness in all areas of life, on and off the field. It’s common sense, and, somehow, revolutionary.

Building Team Champ

Building Team Champ has been no easy feat - especially with an abundance of red tape that is well-known in the sexual wellness industry. To build online community without getting us banned, I kicked off our “Champ In The Wild” campaign. This campaign shows elements of the brand in all aspects of daily life — discretely on your nightstands, hitting the slopes, making good use of our merch to build our lifestyle content. This campaign has been hugely successful with our college demographic because it opens doors for more fun interpretations of product promotion.

Champ University

The Champ University project has been my keystone project at Champ. I was brought on to build a reputation for the brand among college age students, and our ambassador program is now flourishing around the U.S.. Starting with just a few ambassadors in the Los Angeles area, we’ve brought on ambassadors around the nation to help build brand awareness on their campuses, and help us facilitate relationships with student health services. Even at schools where we have no ambassadors, my work to build a network of health officials in the university space has paid off — as Champ condoms are now distributed by university health services throughout the country.
